The Jungle Off Road Buggies

Off Road Buggies are a true adrenalin rush. It’s a challenging environment and an event with a difference. Most of you will have done some sort of Karting before, mostly on tarmac, most participants say it is unlike anything else they have done.

The Off Road Buggies run on a sand circuit. It is 730 metres long and has hills, tight bends, dips, slow bends and straights. It all sounds so easy - what you may have missed is that it’s on a sand track, which means the track changes every lap.

The racing line never lasts more than 5 minutes, get the line wrong and you will spend most of the race with the rear wheels in the air, not much good to you because that’s where the power is.

We do not compare this event to the speed thrill of Tarmac Karting, what we do say is that if you want something different then this may just be what you are looking for.

Off Road Karting Event Format

Each team member is given a coloured arm band worn on their right arm to enable identification during the race.

The 1st drivers will start the race on the green flag, then it’s down to the teams to decide when they change drivers.

Assuming team tactics are right, each driver should get 15 - 20 minutes in the hot seat. It may not sound long, but trust me you will be begging to be flagged into the pits after just 5 minutes. This is a tough event made even more so by the fact that you may well have tried to drink each other under the table the night before.
